LEDANG: The Tangkak District Council (MDT) recently held an Etiquette and Protocol course for 50 of its personnel at the Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim, here.
MDT secretary, Mohd Hafiz Aliman, said the course was aimed at
fulfilling the council's training requirements as well as to ensure its
staff are courteous and observe protocol.
The course was conducted by Mohd Fahmy Yahya, from the State Secretary's office, who has experience in the field.
"In this course, the participants were given theoretical and practical
knowledge of how to conduct a formal function with VIPs present," said
Hafiz.
He said Tangkak often hosted formal functions involving VIPs, including
Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman, adding that MDT personnel
needed to have the knowledge regarding etiquette and protocol so they
would not be awkward during such function.
Hafiz said due to the good response it received for the course, MDT was considering making it an annual affair.
